MFA has worked with AARP as a strategic advisor since 2002. AARP has been a thought leader, contributor, and sponsor for every MFA What’s Next and Silicon Valley conference.
AARP is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization, with a membership of more than 38 million, that helps people turn their goals and dreams into real possibilities, strengthens communities and fights for the issues that matter most to families such as healthcare, employment security, and retirement planning. For the past four years, MFA has worked closely with Nancy LeaMond, Executive Vice President and Chief Advocacy & Engagement Officer at AARP, to advance her work of supporting family caregivers through advocacy, education and innovative programs.
AARP Innovation Labs provides an environment for AARP to develop new products internally and at the same time engage with the start-up ecosystem, academia, and other experts to help shape and co-create new solutions. For the past two years, MFA has hosted pitch events, sponsored by AARP Innovation Labs, at the What’s Next Boomer Business Summit and Silicon Valley Boomer Venture Summit. In 2018, Carrie Shaw, CEO of Embodied Labs, was a finalist of the pitch competition and went on to win the AARP Innovation Lab’s Grand Pitch Finale in Washington, D.C.
MFA Role: Helped GreatCall with strategic partnerships in the nonprofit space. Worked with management to raise awareness of the GreatCall brand. Served as a member of GreatCall’s Caregiver Counsel.

Link•age is a member organization made up of senior living providers across the U.S. It is dedicated to enhancing the financial performance of its members by finding, developing, and implementing new business models and revenue sources. Link•age Ventures invests in companies providing products, services, or technology to the aging demographic market.
